Live in Digital Ivory Tower
"Live in Digital Ivory Tower" is a computer animation, video and internet artwork. I hope to though this artwork to compare the different of self presentation that people show to others in real and digital life. Then, it contained the daily activities of a girl, named Alice and WondersssGirl-111. You can found that they are totally different, include disposition, profile, daily life. But actually they are the same person, is just her self presentations are different in two life. In our life, we also can see somebody have similar situation.
For the story, I chose the same nature activities, then different attitude made the character as daily live. And this have basis, all from the survey, research from social media, etc. For instance, the face can be totally not match, cause in digital life somebody will use photoshop to fix their face; or Hong Kong like to post they go to hotel to have a high class buffet tea, but normally they just always have some fast food.
It irony somebody fake audience in digital life. They make the social media as public, and build up a perfect image in digital life. However, in private (real life, not so social, and because cannot social multi-audience at same time, different space) they have decadent real life. So this is a artwork, to sum up those elements from this kind of case, and emphasize this phenomenon is around us, you can focus on your female friends, especially who have large amount follower on social media and have a nickname goddess.
